Welcome home to Clarendon Hills. The village of Clarendon Hills was initially used as a milk stop by farmers in 1864. The scenic terrain caught the eye of James Walker who had a vision to develop it into a commuter suburb. The area was platted in 1873 by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. Henry Middaugh 270 acres north of the tracks in 1869 and farmed the land. In 1893 he built the Middaugh Mansion. The village was incorporated in 1923 and building began in earnest.  The lots of various sizes and shapes follow winding streets that flow with the contours of the land. Clarendon Hills was named after a Boston suburb.  Built on elevated prairie land with rolling hills to the north and south, schools, parks, impeccable homes and architecture makes Clarendon Hills one of best Chicago suburbs to live and raise a family in.


Schooling in Clarendon Hills is top notch and you will be hard pressed to finder a better district. All schools are rated A and A+ on Niche.com, schools are Prospect Elementary, Walker School, Clarendon Hills Middle School (Blue Ribbon School), and Hinsdale Central High School. Hinsdale Central (also a blue ribbon school) is ranked in the top 3 High Schools in IL and in the top 75 nation wide. Blue Ribbon schools are recognized by the Department of Education for achieving superior standards of academic excellence.


Bordered by Kingery Highway (83) to the East, Ogden Ave to the North, Clarendon Hills sits approximately 20 miles west of Chicago. It is an easy commute to Downtown form it's Metra stop at 1 S Prospect. There are two major airports within a half hour drive (O'Hare, Midway) offering non-stop flights to just about anywhere in the world. Along with Uber/Lyft, car service access, and AmTrak you are globally connected for business or personal travel. 


Clarendon Hills Downtown is the heart of this community. There is a Library, Post Office, Fire and Police Station, community pool,  and City Govt offices. DT also hosts entertainment (Dancin In the Streets, Father's Day Daisy Dash, Daisy Days), fairs, as well as many other events (seasonally permitting). Clarendon Hills is home to eight parks, with approximately 45 acres, and a community center where you can find information on a host of sports and recreational programs. Clarendon Hills feeds into Falcons Football and is the home of  the CH Cardinals baseball. There are many gym and work out facilities located in and within minutes of the community.
